Bio

Lauren Crew is a multidisciplinary visual artist known for her reflective storytelling and emotive visuals. Crew is driven by nostalgia, expression and turning personal pain into power. Her creative process serves to emotionally lift the viewer and herself towards
greater awareness. Based in Los Angeles, Crew works as a commercial and editorial photographer.

She received a Bachelor of Arts, Interdisciplinary Visual Arts degree in 2004 from the University of Washington, Seattle and an MFA Photography degree in 2012 from Academy of Art, San Francisco, CA.

Some of Lauren’s clients include Airbnb, Marriott, Healthcare.Gov, Puma, United Airlines, Apple, Google, ESPN, and The New York Times. Her fine art work has been exhibited at Art Basel in Miami and SomArts in San Francisco. Crew was awarded the International Motion Arts Awards, Award of Excellence from Communication Arts, and Selected for an American Photography Award in 2022.

Crew is currently working on a personal project exploring identity development. Her
debut monograph will be published in Fall 2024.
