Director: Erica Eng
Born in Oakland, CA – Erica Eng moved to Los Angeles to come up the industry ranks with internships at Spyglass Entertainment and HSI Productions, serving as an executive assistant at PRETTYBIRD and then for the Academy nominated director, Michael Mann. After spending six years learning the industry from the ground up, Erica transitioned into becoming a full-time director, which is what she does today.
Erica’s work has been showcased in Academy-qualifying festivals such as the Atlanta Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, and the Holly Shorts Film Festival where her film “Fighter” was screened at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. She was also chosen for SHOOT Magazine’s 16th Annual New Director’s Showcase, where her film “Poison” was screened at the Directors Guild Theatre in New York. Through the Commercial Directors Diversity Program, Erica directed a PSA for “Homeboy Industries” starring the Emmy-nominated actor, Richard Cabral.
Erica’s background in cinematography, and love of art, influences her rich cinematic style. Inspired by her Oakland roots, Erica aims to create work that reflects the diverse community in which she grew up.
